Submission terms

What happens when you tell us about a problem, in plain language.

We record your submission

Foundry keeps a dated record of what you submitted and your connection to it. If you give your name, you are recorded as the problem originator for that submission — the person who surfaced it to Foundry through it.

Reviewed privately

Submissions are reviewed privately by the Foundry team. We will not publicly publish your identity or your submission without your permission.

No automatic NDA

Submitting does not create a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement. Please leave out confidential company information, trade secrets, passwords, or personal financial details.

No automatic ownership or compensation

Submitting does not by itself create ownership, equity, compensation, partnership, or exclusive rights to the problem or any solution. Any future participation would be agreed separately.

Others may see the same problem

Foundry may already know about similar problems, other people may independently submit similar problems, and Foundry may discover them on its own. Each person’s submission is kept separately with its own date.

Your record is kept

If Foundry doesn’t pursue a problem, the submission remains on record and may be marked “Not pursued at this time.” If it’s later connected to a broader problem, your original submission stays intact.

Deeper conversations

If a deeper, confidential discussion is needed later, Foundry may use a separate confidentiality agreement where appropriate.
